Idaho Airports and Airstrips

Boise Airport (KBOI)

Boise Airport is also known as Boise Air Terminal or Gowan Field. With 2.4 million enplanements, it is a busy regional airport with passenger and commercial traffic. The airport has T-hangars for rent, and there is a waiting list.

Caldwell Airport (KEUL)

Caldwell Industrial Airport is a small airport that is home for many private and commercial aviators. There are a number of privately owned hangars on leased land available of various ages, sizes, and prices. Caldwell is experiencing growth and improvements, including the addition of brand new hangers going in on the south end of the runway. Emmett Municipal Airport (S78)

Emmett Municipal Airport is a small airstrip that is home for many local aviators. There are occasionally a number of privately owned hangars on leased land available of various ages, sizes, and prices. The Emmett community is experiencing growth, which many people think will lead to future improvements to the airport. The airport is operated by the City of Emmett Public Works department. Horseshoe Bed – Summit Ridge Ranch Airstrip (ID95)

Summit Ridge Ranch Airstrip is privately owned and requires permission to use. Airport Communications are WX ASOS at BOI (18 nm S): 123.9 (208-318-5005). The owner, per publicly available sources, is Heidi Young at 208-781-0297.

Landmark Airstrip (OUO)

Landmark Airstrip is a backcountry airstrip located near Johnson Creek outside of Landmark, Idaho. It was recently closed due to encroaching tree growth, but Idaho Aviation Association has a goup of aviators volunteering to clear the encroaching tree growth. Nampa Airport (KMAN)

Nampa Airport is also known as Nampa Municipal Airport and is home for many private and commercial aviators. Mission Aviation Fellowship runs a large global operation out of this airport. Privately owned hangars are on leased land and rarely available. When they go up for sale, they typically sell fast. Payette Municipal Airport (S75)

S75 is run by the City of Payette and is in the middle of Scotch Pines Golf Course. Just north of the town of Payette, S75 has a small town friendly feel to it.

Picabo Airport (ID82)

Picabo Airport is located in Picabo, Idaho near Sun Valley and Hailey, Idaho and can be reached at 208-720-5150. Silver Creek is also nearby, which is a popular fly fishing destination for some.
